Rarely is the craftsmanship and luxury of Coach handbags associated with a rugged, worn-out baseball glove. Seeing beyond the tattered strings and dirt, Coach’s founder was inspired by the distinctive markings and supple leather that emerged on the glove after years of use.

Much like baseball, Coach has long been characterized by its classic design and American style. This quintessential look is reflected in the rigid paperboard boxes that encase the Coach collection of handcrafted leather goods and accessories. While the overall design of the two-piece rigid boxes is understated, the production necessary to create them is considerably complicated due to the artwork. Though simplistic in style, the square outline on the lid must be perfectly positioned, a task difficult to complete by hand. Design Packaging took great care to ensure a lamination process that is second to none. By adding a printed die-line to the back of the wrapping paper, we are able to accurately align the white detail on the lid.

These two-piece rigid boxes, as with the entire packaging program, embody the Coach classically-current design philosophy.
